Moon in my (bad) eyes

My sight isn't all that bad. I'm only a bit shortsighted (-0,75 D, both eyes, last time I checked), but the left eye is additionally astigmatic. Usually my sight doesn't cause me problems. I don't wear glasses at home, or generally indoors, as the distances aren't big enough for significant blurring, but I regret not being able to look at stars and the moon without glasses. The moon looks something like this with the naked eye (I made this from memory, so it might not be the most accurate representation).

Anyone else got such problems?

  2. That sucks man, I myself see my vision degrading over the years a bit, but I guess thats what the computer does to me... Anyways I can still aim to my mouth with the fork while eating, so everything is a-OK.

  6. I used to have bad eyesight when I was a kid. I wore glasses until I was in high school then I threw them away after being bullied for wearing them. All of a sudden, my vision got so good I don't even need to go to opticians appointments any longer! Interesting blogs bro so I'm following. Personality disorders suck by the way, I can certainly vouch for that. Good luck buddy!

  8. @Timon... -___-" I wouldn't call it amazing...

My glasses are quite good at correcting this. No problems with binoculars or telescopes too.

I got my glasses only about three years ago, for driving.

  9. I have a astigmatism in my eyes too. When I look at lights without glasses I can see like, individual rays of light coming out of the source so it looks like a massive spiky ball of light.

  17. I actually discovered my shortsightedness when there was a lunar eclipse and everyone was saying "It's red, it's red!" but all I saw was this crazy blot of white light in the sky.

Be grateful that your eyesight is still relatively okay, I'm pretty helpless without my glasses! Derp.
