A Tale of Two Cities.

It was missing from YT until very recently ;)

What do you think of "club" tracks about such topics?

Another example, "Crusade" by [:SITD:]

Apart from the lyrics, the sample they used of the man screaming "I want to live!" near the end, was real, came from execution made by some terrorists and the man was beheaded shortly after.

Here's a discussion with some details on Side-line.com

Could you dance to this?

  6. i guess anyone can enjoy these songs and dance to them. if they make him think a bit beyond the music and consider the events behind the lyrics, thats even better.

  8. The deification of soldiers, combined with the ease with which a producer can incite an emotional response, coupled with the attempt at making the bassline powerful enough to evoke all of the needed ingredients to combine, coalesce and become something shocking is such old hat that even the least jaded net user would gloss over it.

I have pals who, for better or for worse, are out in the wars. I know that one of them is actually blaring speedcore and hard dnb while they cruise through towns in their beat up humvee.

But what do I know? I am just a chubby college kid in Arkansas.
